Central Barbados In-a-Day

Lost in nature

Hunte's Gardens

Central Barbados is hilly and lush, cleft with gullies, and with plenty of narrow, bumpy and winding roads. Take your pick of nature walks, caves, and tropical gardens. The sights are close together and well signposted.

Morning:

Head eastwards off the ABC Highway uphill, along Highway 3B, to Gun Hill signal station, for a spot of British military history, expansive vistas over southern Barbados, and an early tea-break, or late breakfast at the café.

Next, navigate northwards, and take your pick of gardens or nature walks: Hunte’s Gardens, Coco Hill Forest, or the Flower Forest.

Lunch:
