Bodmin Moor & Around
Compared to near neighbours Dartmoor and Exmoor, Bodmin Moor is smaller (at 77 sq m) and not as high – its peak is 420m. But the moor more than merits a visit. The mining heritage on the south east flank is part of a World Heritage Site and the wild, treeless heathland is awash with archaeological remains.
Sights
You could also be tempted this way by the rock formations of the Cheesewring; the subterranean lake at Carnglaze Caverns; the gorgeous stately home of Lanhydrock; the thrills of Adrenaline Quarry or the vintages of the Camel Valley Vineyard.
