Transport
Tallinn is home to the country’s one international airport (Lennujaam), served by direct flights from most western European countries. There are also internal flights to Kärdla on the island of Hiiumaa and Kuressaare on the island of Saaremaa.
The airport lies 4km southeast of the centre at Tartu mnt. 101. Bus #2 runs from Viru valjak in the city centre roughly every thirty minutes.
Travelling from the UK, Ryanair flies to Tallinn from London Stansted four times a week.
International ferries sail to Tallinn from Helsinki and Stockholm.
Inside Estonia, Trains are the smoothest and most environmental way to travel, but routes are limited; the Bus network covers much more of the country. Driving is straightforward, with most roads in reasonable condition.
