Southern Medina cafés and sweets

Café el Badia

Away from the commercial areas the southern part of the Medina seems to have fewer street cafés than the northern half.

There are nonetheless a fair few cafés and patisseries around Place des Ferblantiers (the big square by the Mellah), notably Café el Badia.

Down at the southern end of the Kasbah, the Marrakesh branch of Café Clock is more a restaurant than a café, but will certainly do you a coffee, a juice or a smoothie on request.

Patisseries include a couple on Avenue Houman el Fetouaki (the street from Place des Ferblantiers to Place Foucauld and the Koutoubia), and there's a sweet sweet shop selling traditional sticky confections just inside Bab Agnaou.
