Northern Medina Eating

first night table

Eating places are a little bit scattered in the Northern Medina, but there's a little bit of everything here. A number of cafés offer a breather while you're shopping in the souks, with food if you want it.

There are also a few good mid-range options, and a bit of haute cuisine in places like Dar Yacout, the Maison Arabe, and Le Trou au Mur.

Bab Doukkala

Heading up towards the bus station at Bab Doukkala, not far from the Bab Doukkala Mosque, you've got the Henna Café, and for something classier, Dar Yacout or the restaurant of the Maison Arabe.

Rue Souk des Fassis

On Rue Souk des Fassis, the street behind the Ben Youssef Medersa, you have budget eating at the Terrasse la Medersa, posher eating at Le Foundouk, and fine dining at Le Trou au Mur.

Vegetarians

Most of these restaurants have something for vegetarians, but the Henna Café is the most veg-friendly place on the list.
