Southern Medina budget eating

tajines cooking

The choice of budget eating at the southern end of the Medina doesn't compare with the area around the Jemaa el Fna, but it does offer a few decent choices.

In addition to the places with links below, there are also a few cheap restaurants, mostly offering fried fish, on the west side of the Mellah's Place des Ferblantiers, opposite Café el Badia.

On Rue Riad Zitoun el Jedid, there's Jama and, a bit pricier, Naranj.

Rue Riad Zitoun el Kedim, the other main route from the Jemaa el Fna down to the Medina's southern half, has Chez Bahia up near the Jemaa.

The Kasbah doesn't have many budget eating options, except for the Marrakesh branch of Café Clock.
