Fine dining
Marrakesh has some very refined restaurants serving the best in Moroccan, French and even Italian cuisine.
For traditional Moroccan cuisine, the place is Al Fassia, serving the specialities of Marrakesh's sister city, Fez. Another good choice is Le Trou au Mur, specializing in Moroccan revival cuisine. La Maison Arabe's Le Restaurant also serves tip-top Moroccan dishes, with a separate restaurant for international dining.
The Red House hedges its bets with a French and a Moroccan menu, which you can pick and mix. Pepe Nero does the same with a Moroccan and Italian menu, and both offer excellent dining in beautiful surroundings whichever dishes you opt for. The Grand Café de la Poste also offers both French and Moroccan dishes in grand surroundings.
La Trattoria is the other main fine dining option in town, with an exclusively Italian menu.
