Kids & Families

Montreal, Canada

With a relaxed approach and a flexible itinerary Montreal is a great place to travel with kids.

Getting about by Metro & Bus can be an adventure for kids not used to big-city life, and there are plenty of good educational attractions too. When the weather's good then there are plenty of parks to let off steam too; with Mount Royal Park being a key spot.

Otherwise there are two key zones to steer towards:

Parc Jean Drapeau, location of the large outdoor pool complex, Parc Jean Drapeau Pool; an adjacent geography-centre, Montreal Biosphere; and the huge amusement park of La Ronde.

• Around the Olympic Park where Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium; the Montreal Botanical Garden; and the Montreal Biodome offer more than a day's-worth of attractions whatever the weather.
